Mirzapur is a city in the state of Uttar Pradesh in India. It is the headquarters of the Mirzapur district.
According to 2001 census, Mirzapur Parliamentary Constituency has a population of 205,264. Of this, 54% are males and 46% are females. BSP candidate, Narendra Kumar Kushwaha, won the Mirzapur Parliamentary Constituency seat in the last elections (2004).
Mirzapur is famous for its brassware and carpet industry. Rajdari, Devdari and Lakhaniyadari hills around Mirzapur are popular tourist attractions.
