Nalanda was the great center of education in the 5th century. Today it is one of the most archaeologically valuable sites in India. The ruins of the once magnificent complex that have been excavated is an extraordinary view. In addition to that the Nalanda archaeological Museum, Hieun Tsang Memorial Hall and the Nava Nalanda Mahavira.
The historical town of Rajgir has several interesting places like Saptakarni caves, Griddhakuta, Ajatshatru's Fort, Swarna Gufa etc. There are pilgrimage sites for Buddhists, Hindus and the Jains in Rajgir.
