The deep mysterious forest covering the place enhances its beauty all the more.

The name of the place, Rajgir, means royal citadel. It was in fact the home of royalty in the past, when it was the capital of Magadh. Rajgir is also a sacred place as it has associations with Lord Buddha.

The Chain of Jain Temples: Up on the hill there are about 26 Jain Temples, which is difficult to reach. This also makes a very adventurous site for trekking.
