Rose Festival, Chandigarh

Rose Festival, Chandigarh is held in the famous Rose Garden at Chandigarh. This is largest Rose Show in the country. This festival is celebrated in the Rose Garden every year in the end of the month of February or during the first few days of March. The festival is organized to encourage the people to enjoy the bloom of different type of roses here.

If you plan to visit Chandigarh during this season you will be able to treat yourself with the sight of variety of roses. In the Rose Festival, Chandigarh roses of different colors and origin are displayed.

Though initially it was the Festival of Roses but gradually it grew to include other things as well. Now the celebrations of the Rose Festival, Chandigarh includes music and dance performances, events for children, exhibitions by local photographers and artists and flower shows.

Since the year 1997 the Rose Festival, Chandigarh is being called the Festival of Gardens. This is a two day festival. During these two days people from different places of the country visits Chandigarh to enjoy the wide variety of roses that are displayed on this occasion. Several other amusement activities are arranged here during this time.

The Rose Festival of Chandigarh is now included in the National Calendar of Festivals.
