Martyrs: Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru Memorial, Ferozepur is a site of much historical significance. The bodies of the great martyrs Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru were stealthily cremated here in the darkness of night. They were executed in Lahore by the British power. They were killed on the 23rd of March of the year 1931 after raising a revolution against the British Government. Every year on this day a fair is held in this place where people from different corners of India gather to pay homage to the great patriots.
The fair held on 23rd of March every year at Martyrs: Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru Memorial, Ferozepur reminds the people of this country of the greatness of the patriots who sacrificed their lives for the well being of their country.
Apart from the Martyrs: Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru Memorial, Ferozepur there are also a number of historical places, shrines and temples in and around the city. The historic city of Ferozepur was built by Ferozeshah Tuglaq in the 14th century. It is an ancient city situated close to the India- Pakistan border.
The city of Ferozepur itself is a bearer of great historical evidences. Being situated in the North- West of the country is has remained a part of many military expeditions. During the first Anglo- Sikh war the Khalsa crossed the Sutlej River from here to escape the British military force.
