- These terms and conditions together with any specific notices given on the www.mapsofindia.com website ("Maps of India") are the Quiz competition rules ("Rules") and apply to quiz competitions included on the www.mapsofindia.com/quiz ("Quiz"), unless otherwise expressly stated. By entering a Quiz, entrants agree to be bound by these Rules.
- The contest is open to all Indian nationals residing in India and have attained the age of 10 years on or before on August 13, 07.
- By entering the quiz competition, you hereby warrant that all information submitted by you is true, current and complete.
- Only those entries shall be considered for the competition that is complete in all respects.
- Maps of India assumes that by using its site and entering the Competition either you have legal capacity to enter the Competition and agree to the Rules (i.e. that you are of sufficient age and mental capacity and are entitled to be legally bound in contract) or your parents have consented to your entry of the Competition and use of these Rules.
- The rules regarding prizes are as follows:
- Rs. 60,000 will be awarded to one person as first prize.
- Ten 2nd prizewinners would get cash reward of Rs. 6,000 each
- 100 third prizewinners would receive Rs.600 each.
- One printed map of India will be given to all the participants attempting all the questions.
PS: The lucky winners will be chosen by a computerized draw of lots from amongst the all-correct entries. The prize-money will be paid through Account Payee Cheque and delivered via post/courier.
The results of the quiz will be uploaded on August 20, 07, wherein names of the winners will be displayed. Winners will also be informed by email. The verification process of prizewinners would take three-four days. In order to collect their prizes the winners shall be required to submit their address proofs, photo identity cards and affidavits stating that they are not related to Compare Infobase Limited in any way. Any winner who cannot be contacted at the email address supplied and / or who does not furnish the affidavit as required, within 10 days, will forfeit his/her prize.
- All expenses incurred in claiming and using any prize, other than those specified in the prize details, are the sole responsibility of the prizewinners.
- Maps of India will not be liable, neither will it compensate, for any delay/ loss/ non-receipt of prizes delivered to the winners, as a result of circumstances beyond its control.
- Prizes are not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. Maps of India reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal/greater/lower value at any time. The request for issue of cheque in the name of parents, in case of minors and those not having a bank account, will be decided solely at the discretion of Maps of India.
- By entering the competition all entrants acknowledge and agree that Maps of India is not responsible or liable for any loss, harm, damage, illness or injury, however arising, as the direct or indirect result of claiming or using any prize. Acceptance and uptake of any prize is at the prizewinner's risk.
- The decision of the judges, including eligibility and validity of entries, operation of the draw and allocation of prizes is final and no correspondence in this regard will be entered into.
- Please note that quiz is timed for 30 minutes. If you are unable to answer the questions in stipulated time frame you will have to start the quiz all over again.
- Employees of Compare Infobase Limited group of companies, and their immediate families, are not eligible to win any prizes.
- By entering the competition all entrants agree that if drawn as a winner of a prize their name and image may be used by Maps of India for publicity and promotional purposes.
- In the event that any entrant is disqualified from the Competition, Maps of India in its sole discretion may decide whether a replacement contestant should be selected. In this event, any further entrant will be selected on the same criteria as the original entrant and will be subject to same set of Rules.
- Maps of India reserves the right to cancel or amend the Quiz, the Notice or these Rules at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be posted on this website.
- Any information submitted by you must be personal to and relate specifically to you. You hereby warrant that the information, which you submit and/or distribute, will not infringe the intellectual property, privacy or any other rights of any third party, and will not contain anything which is libelous, defamatory, obscene, indecent, harassing or threatening. If relevant, Maps of India reserves the right, but not the obligation, to screen, filter and/or monitor information provided by you and to edit, refuse to distribute or remove the same.
- Maps of India cannot accept responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft, destruction, alteration of, or unauthorized access to entries, or entries lost or delayed whether or not arising during operation or transmission as a result of server functions, virus, worms or other causes outside its control.
