The enigmatic land of Sikkim is home to numerous equally mysterious tribes that have transformed the state into a heavenly delectable locale. These tribes have also evolved an unique language of Sikkim which is spoken by most of the people residing in this state. Amongst all the languages in Sikkim, the most revered and propitious lingo is Nepalese. It is absolutely needless to mention that the dialect of Nepalese have been formulated by the illustrious Nepalese residing in the thumb-shaped state of Sikkim.

There is, however, a reason behind this dominance of Nepalese language of Sikkim over other languages. It is due to the fact that the Nepalese people are way too advanced and sophisticated as compared to that of the other tribes that still believe in age-old traditions like educating their young ones in monasteries and following religious cults.

The other languages includes touches of English and Hindi as there are plenty of Marwaris and Bengalis who are quite proficient in these lingoes. These two languages are regarded as the most aristocratic dialects in the state after Nepalese.

Amongst the other recurrently spoken languages across Sikkim are Bhutia, Lepcha, Sherpa, Tamang, Rai, Gurung, Groma, Yakha and many more.

One similitude that lies in all these languages within Sikkim is the fact that they are all spoken by the tribes. As the tribes comprise of a major portion of the population of Sikkim, these languages at Sikkim are quite frequently heard.

Other languages include Majhwar, Nepal Bhasa, Thulung, Tibetan and many more.
