Subba Folk Dance

This popular dance is a major attraction of different occasions and village festivals. The drum beating styles are also very unique. The drummers beat one side of the drum with open palms and the other with sticks thus producing a different sound which is very rhythmic. The drummer hang the chyap-brungs on their neck while performing.
The dancers of the Subba Folk Dance of Sikkim perform beautiful folk dance along with this beating sounds of the drums. Though this beautiful dance seems easy on the part of the spectators but the steps that they follow during the performance are very tough that any one cannot perform without practicing for a long time. The foot movements of the dancers are very interesting.
