She even wrote a number of articles in Tamil and English and short stories and novels in the Tamil language. Being a trained classical dancer of Bharatha Natyam, she is fond on other forms of dance as well. Her hobbies include music, reading and agriculture. Selvi J. Jayalalithaa has got keen interest in sports like cricket, swimming, tennis, horse riding, chess, basket ball, athletics etc.
