SASTRA Deemed University

SASTRA Deemed University was established in 1984 as Shanmugha College of Engineering. Situated over a sprawling campus of 1.5 million square feet, the Shanmugha College of Engineering was later renamed as Shanmugha Arts, Science, Technology and Research Academy (SASTRA). The university is known to possess a total population of 8,000 students. The total number of teaching faculty belonging to the SASTRA university is 600.

The Shanmugha Arts, Science, Technology and Research Academy is one of the renowned universities in India. It has achieved national standing since its inception. The university offers a large number of undergraduate and postgraduate courses belonging to Science, Arts, Management, Education, Management and Engineering. Besides the aforesaid courses, the university also offers Doctoral programs. SASTRA is known its state-of-the-art laboratories, computer facilities and a rich library. The courses of the university include B Tech, M Tech, Ph D, MCA and MBA.
