The Uttar Pradesh Technical University has 238 colleges or institutions affiliated under it. They offer graduate, post graduate and doctoral level training in all government and private colleges and institutions all across Uttar Pradesh. The Technical University of Uttar Pradesh offers affiliation to these colleges and institutions in B.Tech, M.B.A., M.C.A., B.Arch., B.Pharma., B.H.M.C.T., M.Tech., and Ph.D., programmes.
The Uttar Pradesh Technical University is one of the largest technical universities in Asia. The university has been divided into five zones with 45-50 colleges falling under each. This helps the management in enhancing the quality of learning in each of them as well as facilitating inter zonal competitions.
