There are various
airlines that ply in the state of
West Bengal.The state has two airports in Bagdogra and Kolkata. The
Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Airport in Kolkata has many
international airlines that fly flights to the city. Domestic airlines also fly flights to the city of Kolkata and to Bagdogra in North Bengal.
Only the domestic airlines are allowed to provide service to the Bagdogra Airport. The Indian Airlines and Jet Airways are the two airlines that ply in the airport. The airlines connect Bagdogra to the cities of Delhi, Guwahati and Kolkata. The airlines help to connect the various northern states to the three cities.

Kolkata was declared an International Airport visited by flights from other countries. Services are provided by international airlines who operate flights to distant destinations across the globe. The international airlines that fly in the state are:

The airlines fly scheduled flights to the two airports. The international flights connect the state of West Bengal to important cities like London, New York, Rome, Tokyo, Moscow, Dhaka, Kathmandu, Bangkok, Hong Kong and Dubai. The civilians of north Bengal are eager to convert the Bagdogra Airport to an international airport that will facilitate air links to the bordering countries of Nepal, Bangladesh and Bhutan.
