Amrita Arora is an upcoming Bollywood actress and is recognized as an actress with immense potential. With some strong performances and sizzling dance numbers she has won the heart of millions of Hindi movie-goers.

Amrita Arora was born in Bombay on January 31, 1981. Her mother was a Malayali and her father was a Punjabi. Her sister Malaika Arora, a reputed dancer and VJ is married to Arbaaz Khan, the younger brother of Salman Khan.

Amrita Arora made her debut in the movie Kitne Door Kitne Paas, opposite Fardeen Khan. The movie failed to create an impression in the box office. It was soon followed by Awara Pagal Deewana, which turned out to be her first major hit.

But her success at box office appeared to be short lived. A series of releases thereafter, namely Ek Aur Ek Gyarah, Sharth, Girl Friend, Mujh Se Shadi Karogi, and Raakh etc. were flops.

Amrita Arora had her share of controversies as well. The film Girl friend, with Isha Koppikar based on a lesbian relationship created a big controversy. Her forthcoming movies are Deha and Jeet- Feel the force.
