Manoj Bajpai Biography

Manoj Bajpai, the talented Indian actor was born on 3rd April in a small village (Belwa) of Champaran, Bihar. He completed his graduation from Ramjas College, Delhi University. Since his childhood he had a strong liking for theater and his active involvement with the same inspired him to become a professional actor.

He has won the Filmfare Critics Choice Awards for the films Satya and Shool. Manoj Bajpai is widely known for playing unconventional roles. Initially he got very small roles in films but after the release of his film Satya in 1997 he never looked back. This film was directed by Ram Gopal Varma and Bajpai played the role of Bhiku Mhatre (a short tempered gangster) in that film. His mind blowing performance in this film fetched him a loads of awards and accolades and he became star overnight.

This well known actor has always shown his excellence by playing the difficult critical roles. Bajpai won the Star Screen Best supporting actor award (1998) and National Film Best Supporting Actor Award (1999) for Satya. His brilliant performance in the films Male and Shool also got appreciation.

Manoj was awarded the Zee Cine Award for being the best supporting actor in the film Male and Shool. Manoj played a negative role in Aks and in 2001 got the Star Screen Best Villain Award. This talented actor has also acquired the Zee Cine Award for his negative role in Road. His marvellous acting in Pinjar fetched him the Special Jury Award as well as the Film Award for Best Actor .
