Sameera Reddy Biography

Sameera Reddy is a beautiful, talented and aspiring Bollywood actress. She was born on 14th December, 1982. She graduated from Sydenham College and can speak fluently in Hindi and Telugu both. Sameera is the youngest of three siblings sisters, namely Sushma Reddy and Meghna Reddy, who are also in the entertainment and media industry, as popular VJ’s or actresses.

The tall and dusky Sameera is known to be a fitness freak, working out hours in the gym and following a strict diet regime. She is also a trained Kathak dancer who enjoys swimming, yoga and dancing. In her early days, Sameera was a model for international brand ‘Lissome’. This model-turned-actress made her acting debut on television aged 17, when she appeared in Pankaj Udhas’s romantic music video ‘Aahista’. Still in college then, the video made her popular, which displayed Sameera’s potential as a talented young star. Since then, her acting career has moved to the big screen.

Sameera’s debut film was Maine Dil Tujhko Diya (2002) in which she was paired opposite Sohail Khan, portraying the role of a demure college girl falling in love with a fellow college mate. Her first success however was in the film Musafir (2004) where she received rave reviews.

Sameera received great accolades in her first Bengali venture, in the National Award winning film, Kaalpurush (2005), directed by renowned director Buddhadeb Dasgupta. Her other notable films include Darna Mana Hai (2003), Plan (2004), Naksha (2006) and Taxi Number 9211 (2006). Her upcoming feature films include the Salman Khan-starrer London Dreams (2007).

Sameera also accepted roles in the Southern film industry, even doing a few Telugu films such as Narasimhudu (2005), opposite actor NTR Junior, Jai Chiranjeeva (2005) and Ashok in 2006.
