Soha Ali Khan

Soha Ali Khan is the rising star in the glittering skyline of Bollywood. She was born on October 4, 1978 in New Delhi. She graduated with History as her subject from Balliol College, Oxford University. Her Post graduation degree was in International Relations from the London School of Economics. She belongs to a family of celebrities.

She is the daughter of the famous Bollywood actress of the 60's and 70's Sharmila Tagore and Tiger Pataudi, the legendary Indian cricketer and the sister of the well known actor of Bollywood, Saif Ali Khan. Before entering the glamor industry she worked with Citibank and an NGO.

Soha Ali Khan entered the world of Indian film industry with the romantic comedy Dil Maange More, where she starred with Shahid Kapoor, Tulip Joshi and Ayesha Takia. She received accolades from one and all for her acting skills in Rang De Basanti and Antar Mahal, a Bengali film. She worked with the celebrity director Rituparno Ghosh . She made the character of Jasomati come alive on screen.

In Rang De Basanti Soha Ali Khan starred with Aamir Khan , Kunal Kapoor and Alice Patten. This well crafted movie is about the awakening of the new generation who are inspired by well known Indian freedom fighters like Chandrasekhar Azad, Bhagat Singh and Ashfakullah.

Soha has made the character of Sonia alive in the film, whose lover a flight lieutenant is killed and later she fights for him. It lost out at the British Academy of Film and Television awards in the best foreign language film category to Mexican film 'Pan's Labyrinth'.

She acted in another comedy Shaadi No 1 directed by David Dhawan, which failed to entertain people and thus lost out on the box office. She has performed in few other movies like Pyar Mein Twist and Ahista Ahista, which were also unsuccessful.
