India, the land of mystic charms and harmonious contradictions, is known all over the world as one of the most favored spiritual and religious destinations. 'Yatra', spiritual journey, to India unfolds the varied colors of this land of saints and sages. This land of spirituality has a lot to offer to the people embarking on religious journey. Yatra or tirth yatra as it is usually called, is the journey to various holy places associated with the Hindu epics. The most famous of these are Amarnath Yatra, Kailash Mansarovar Yatra and Chardham yatra.
The Amarnath yatra is the tour to the holy Amarnath shrine situated in the state of Jammu and Kashmir while Kailash Mansarovar yatra is the sacred journey to the Kailash mountain range, believed to be the abode of Lord Shiva, located in Tibet. Chardham Yatra includes the tour of four holy destinations of Hindus viz Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri and Yamnunotri. Some other yatra destinations in India are Haridwar, Rishikesh, Uttarkashi, Dwarka, Puri, Rameshwaram, Ujjain and Nasik.
