Two Hizbul militants killed in Sopore encounter, four Policemen injured
According to reports, two Hizbul Mujahideen militants were killed and four policemen injured in Sopore in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir. The gun fight began after security forces carried out search operations for militants in the area based on a tip-off.
Indian economy grows at 6.1% during the fourth quarter of 2016-17
According to reports, Indian economy grew at 6.1% during the fourth quarter of 2016-17. This means that India is not the fastest-growing major economy for the fourth quarter. China grew by 6.9% in the same period.
 According to the data from the Ministry of Statistics, India’s GDP grew 7.1% in the financial year 2016-17 which is  slower than the 8% registered in 2015-16.
