AAP's chief Arvind Kejriwals' road show in UP

The AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal today started his three day road show in UP as a part of his national campaign for Lok Sabha polls. In this road show more than 15 Lok Sabha seats will be covered. Along with this, the party wants to target other political parties especially the BJP and the Congress through the road shows. He said that if BJP comes to power then problem of corruption and price rise would definitely increase. Kejriwal started the road show from his office at Kaushambi. He called corruption, price rise and communalism as the enemies of the party. Senior party leader Manish Sisodia said that UP state is dominated by regional politics and the AAP’s target is to give the state a politics of development. The state is quite backward and they are going to target other political parties over many such issues like corruption, criminalization and dynastic politics. Party leader Sanjay Singh from UP said that the party will also take up the issue of power in UP. Tomorrow Kejriwal will address rally at Kanpur. The second day of the road show will commence from Hardoi and moves towards Unnao and arrive at Kanpur. The third day of road show will cover Auraiya, Etawah, Firozabad, Agra, Mathura and Palwal to reach Delhi.

GOQii launched a fitness band with human engagement

GOQii was launched by a well known Indian tech Vishal Gondal who had earlier sold his gaming firm Indiagames to Walt Disney for USD 100 million. GOQii pronounced as Go-key manufactures fitness bands to collect valuable health related information. Fitness trainers then review this data and help his or her client by preparing fitness schedule which can then be sent through text messages and audio-visual chart. Well-known personalities from business as well as entertainment industry like Amit Singhal (senior vice president Google), Madhuri Dixit Nene (Bollywood actress) liked the idea. One of the investors in Gondal’s recent venture is Madhuri Dixit Nene’s husband Shriram Nene who is a surgeon by profession. The company is planning to launch this fitness device in US, UK, UAE and Singapore from this April. User will have to pay annual subscription fee of Rs 9,999 for taking the service of human coaches and Rs 5,999 for six months’ subscription. Total price includes the price of the band which can display the total calories burnt by you, your sleep pattern and distance you have run. 1000 Indians will be joining this pilot programme. Your instructor will keep check on your fitness and health activities. Key feature of the device is the human engagement.

Canada and India should collaborate through education – Governor General of Canada

Governor General of Canada said that India and Canada must collaborate through education. He toured Indian Institute of Technology – Bombay and after visiting the institute said that India makes things easier and produces very cost effective innovations. In order to create a strong innovative culture the two countries need to communicate very closely. India and Canada can team up in a better way through education. “Driving Economic growth through Innovation” was the main topic of discussion and the Canadian Governor general spoke on this as well. He said that a leader is the one who allows his team member to reach at the top of his/her potential. During his interaction with students and faculty he laid stress on entrepreneurship in academic institutions. He encouraged students’ exchange between the two countries. IIT-B director Devang Khakhar has also said that IIT-Bombay has associations with many Canadian institutions and representatives of four Canadian institutions have visited IIT-Bombay since January. Industrial design Centre of the institute was visited by Johnston where the work of the students like solar cooker that can be used as microwave, cooking gas stove for visually challenged persons etc were displayed.

Karunanidhi called Narendra Modi an able administrator

The BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi is the talk of the town these days. His powerful speeches are stirring and moving the crowd. A new name has been added in the recent list of his admirers and that is of DMK leader M Karunanidhi. He praised the administration of Modi and said that Modi is his good friend. He is an extremely hard worker person and an able administrator. Karunanidhi’s praise for Modi has been published in Tamil newspaper Dinamalar. He further added that people of Gujarat have elected him time after time and he has shown development in the state. Karunanidhi’s remarks have come at a very crucial time when the DMK has detached itself from Congress. Speculations are going on whether there is any possibility of a new alliance after these remarks. A DMK spokesperson said that there is nothing strange in Karunanidhi’s statement about Modi. DMK was against BJP on certain political issues. Though there is an air of alliances and some reports are pointing towards alliance. Of the party leader has also said that national political parties are seeking coalition with regional parties but it should be other way round. Karunanidhi remarked that he cannot think of a post election position of the party and the condition after the Lok Sabha election.

Judicial probe gave clean chit to Delhi police and blamed Somnath Bharti of AAP

The judicial probe was ordered by the Lt Governor Najeeb Jung in the case of raid by former Delhi Law Minister Somnath Bharti. Earlier this year he raided the area with few people. The raid took place against some African women living in Khirki Extension on Jan 15 and 16. Bharti asked the police to raid the place as residents were repeatedly complaining about the growing drug and prostitution business in the area by some African officials. Police refused to raid because it does not had warrant to do so. On this Somnath Bharti raided the area. A case had been registered against unknown persons by the Delhi police on January 19. One of the African women who was assaulted in the raid blamed Bharti and said that he is the one who was leading the group and did a forced entry into her home. The judicial probe has now given clean chit to the police which means trouble for Somntah Bharti and the AAP. The then Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had strongly supported Somnath Bharti and his action. The AAP was maintaining its stance by saying that it will wait for the probe result. The probe was conducted by retired Additional District and Session Judge BL Garg. The probe is blaming Bharti for creating the controversy regarding his midnight raid. Kalyan Singh will rejoin BJP

Kalyan Singh who had resigned from the Lok Sabha on 25 February will join BJP. Singh will join the party at "vijay shankhnad rally" by Narendra Modi in Lucknow on Sunday. Earlier he had fear that he might be disqualified in Parliament. He created Jankranti Party after leaving BJP during 2009 Lok Sabha elections. The party combined with BJP in 2013. Rajbir Singh his son was leading the party at the time when merger took place. Singh also said that he will work for the party as a worker and keep on doing so. He has shown his wish for a seat from the same constituency. Singh even praised Narendra Modi party’s PM candidate and said that under his leadership inactiveness will not remain in the party and party will come out victorious. Modi’s wave will turn into storm and it is sure that Modi will form the government at the Centre. He even added that Rahul Gandhi stands nowhere in front of Modi. Congress has increased the corruption and inflation which are the prime agendas for the coming Lok Sabha elections.
