02 January 2019 Current Events India-Pakistan exchange list of respective nuclear installations

On the 1st of January, India and Pakistan shared with each other a list of all nuclear installations and facilities, in accordance with a bilateral agreement.

The Agreement on Prohibition of Attacks Against Nuclear Installations between Pakistan and India was signed on December 31, 1988, and came into force on January 27, 1991. According to the agreement, the two nations are in the pact of sharing information about respective nuclear installations with each other on the first day of January, every calendar year.


Sabarimala Temple: Two women below 50 enter the premises

For the first time since the SC verdict, two women hailing from north Kerala managed to enter the Sabarimala temple, helped by the police. Chief Minister of Kerala, Pinarayi Vijayan has confirmed the news.

The two women managed to enter the premises at 3:45 AM early morning, having used a side entrance. A first attempt had been made last week, but unsuccessfully. Now, tight security arrangements have been put in place for the women, fearing a backlash by devotees.
