Modi promised to bring back black money deposited in foreign banks

In a programme 'Maan ki Baat' broadcasted on All India Radio, Prime Minister Narendra Modi promised to bring back the black money. He said though it will take time but he is on right track. PM Modi also added that he or his government does not have data on the amount stashed in foreign banks but he was committed to bring back the black money and the nation must keep faith in him. He also thanked everyone for taking part in 'Swachh Bharat' campaign.

WB Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's Bday wishes to Shah Rukh Khan

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee wished Shah Rukh Khan on his birthday. On her official Facebook page she posted - "Today (Sunday) is the birthday of our very dear Shah Rukh Khan. We wish him best of happiness, prosperity, good health and success. Our best wishes also to all members of his family. Happy birthday Shah Rukh”. Shah Rukh Khan was in Kolkata on Oct 29 to celebrate the success of his lates movie 'Happy New Year'.

Shiv Sena seeks major post in Maharashtra government

Shiv Sena has set all eyes on the major post in Devendra Fadnavis government in Maharashtra. Shiv Sena is seeking the post of deputy chief minister and major portfolios of housing, PWD, home, energy and roads for its MLA. In house Sena has 63 seats whereas the BJP has 121 seats. Sena president Uddhav Thackeray in his message to the BJP has clearly mentioned that in case of no deal the party would sit in opposition. But as per media report it looks that negotiations are going to be tough.

Fire damaged the heritage building in Shimla

The fire at heritage building in Shimla has damaged the major portion. But fortunately no loss of life has been reported as per media report. The half-timbered Tudor style building was located within the Indian Institute of Advanced Studies. It was constructed by the British and one of the iconic structures of the British era. It is a second major incident of fire in Shimla. Earlier the fire had burnt two floors of 109-year-old Gorton Castle, housing the state's Audit and Accountant General's officers to ashes in Shimla.

Car sale declined in festive month of October

The festive season was not good for car manufactures as the sale of cars dropped in the month of October. The industry is seeing a drop in sale after five months of growth and this is a second drop in a year. There is a combined drop of four percent as compared to last month in the nine leading automobile manufacturing companies in the country. As per the data available with the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), the sale declined by 9.5 percent in April. Less number of working days due to festival holidays and elections have resulted in decline.

Twitter suspended many accounts for unknown reasons on Saturday. This led to many questions and theories and one of these is that accounts of only right-wing supporters have been targeted. Though officially technical glitch is said to be the reason for the suspension but as per many tweeters suspension followed a particular pattern. Twitter apologized for the inconvenience caused.
