02 November 2017 Current Events Govt to use technology evolution for doubling farmers Income

According to reports, Food Processing Industries Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal today stated that the government will use technology evolution to transform Indian food economy and doubling farmer's income.

The Minister stated that the government is working towards easing the process of doing business for global and domestic industry players. The government is making all efforts to ensure food safety and security across the country. India is the second largest producer of food, leader in milk, fruits and vegetables, cereals and marine. The country has huge potential with 127 agro climatic zones and proximity to food importing nations. 


Himachal Pradesh Campaigning reaches its peak for the upcoming state assembly elections

In Himachal Pradesh, the campaigning has reached its peak for the ensuing state assembly elections. BJP has announced its senior leader Prem Kumar Dhumal as CM face in the election. Senior leaders of BJP, Congress and CPM are camping in various parts of the state. BJPs National President Amit Shah will address public meetings in Thunag area of Siraj constituency and Hamirpur town of Hamirpur assembly constituencies today.

Similarly, senior BJP leader and Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Union state Minister V K Singh will also address nearly five rallies in different assembly segments of Mandi, Una and Hamirpur districts. On the other hand, senior Congress leader and Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh is scheduled to visit various constituencies in Kangra districts.
