02 September 2018 Current Events India Bagged Gold Medal in Men's Pair Bridge Event in Asian Games

India bagged a gold medal in Men’s Pair Bridge Event, in Asian Games 2018 when Pranab Bhardan and Shibhnath Sarkar after scoring 384 points in the Finals. With this India bagged their 15th Gold Medal in the Asian Games. The silver and bronze was taken by China and Indonesia.Bridge is introduced in the Asian Games this year, and it is a matter of extreme pride for the country for finishing as a topper in the Men’s Pair.


Car Dealers Having Pending Dues Worth 270 Crores Held at IGI Airport

Audi and Porche car dealers Rash Pal Singh Todd and Mandhir Singh Todd were arrested at the IGI airport when they were about to leave the country. The arrest was made after HDFC bank filed a complaint against them for taking a loan of 270 Crores and not paying them back. The Balance sheet of the companies showed profit based on which they took loans from different banks, but later expressed their inability to repay the loan stating that they have incurred huge losses. HDFC bank lent them an amount of 120 Crores alone. 


FIR Launched Against Robert Vadra and Ex-Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda.

An FIR is launched in Manesar regarding cases of land scams in Gurgaon. The complaint alleges that Mr. Vadra’s company, Skylight purchased lands at a nominal price and further sold them at an exorbitant price back after modification in its classification. However, Mr. Vadra has completely denied the charges, and alleged that these are ways of diverting focus from current issues present in the country.
