03 January 2019 Current Events Bulandshahr violence: main accused arrested after a month

A month after Inspector Subodh Kumar Singh was killed in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, the police has arrested the main accused in the case.

Yogesh Raj, who is a member of Bajrang Dal, was on the run ever since the incident, finally tracked down and caught last night.


Sabarimala temple issue: Protester dies during clashes, several injured

After news of two women entering inside the Sabarimala temple got out, a series of clashes and protests erupted in the state of Kerala. The protests quickly turned violent, even resulting in the death of a man involved.

Several right-wing groups took to the streets, blocking highways and closing down shops. The deceased was a member of the Sabarimala Karma Samithi, a right-wing organisation. According to reports, over 100 people have been injured in the clashes.
