Union minister Gopinath Munde is no more

Union rural development minister and senior BJP leader Gopinath Munde killed in a car accident today. He was 64 years old and a very active politician from Maharashtra. Munde met with an accident on his way to the Indira Gandhi International Airport. His Maruti Suzuki SX4 car was hit by a Tata Indica at Aurobindo Marg in south Delhi. As per media report he was immediately taken to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences Trauma Center. Doctors tried to revive him as he was brought without pulse and blood pressure. He was declared dead at 7.20 am.

Yashwant Sinha in judicial custody

Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Yashwant Sinha’s demonstration in Hazaribagh town, Jharkhand led to his arrest. His denial of not furnishing bail bond sent him to 14 days’ judicial custody. Sinha was leading a group of demonstrators who were demonstrating at the state Electricity Board office in Hazaribagh. General manager Dhanesh Jha was also detained by the demonstrators. Police came on spot to arrest the demonstrator.

Election for two Rajya Sabha seats on June 19

Elections for Rajya Sabha seats in Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh are going to be held on June 19. As per media report the tenure of present Rajya Sabha member from Mizoram, Lalhming Liana will end on July 18 whereas tenure of member from Arunachal Pradesh, Mukut Mithi ended on May 26. The states are ruled by Congress. The Election Commission has issues notification regarding last date of filing nomination which is June 9 and last date to withdraw nomination is June 12. Voting will be immediately followed by counting.

Wipro and SAP in partnership for mobility services

Wipro Ltd and SAP are now in partnership for delivering managed mobility services to customers at a reasonably low cost. As per media report the partnership between IT giant and application software major would be profitable and assist customer in progressing their business and reducing cost. Investment is done in mobility solutions to enhance productivity and dexterity of workforce and to make customer engagement better. Ready-to-deploy mobile solutions will be provided by Wipro through its cloud-based services by covering SAP solutions as per media report.

Last minute goal let India lose against England

India faced a lose to England because of last minute goal in the FIH Hockey World Cup at the Kyocera Stadium. India lost its opening match by 2-3 to Belgium and tried to recover but could not. The match against England was going well and expected to head towards a draw by 1-1 but England won it by 1-2 with the penalty corner. England’s defence was excellent and helped the team to win the match. India team was forced to take either wide, easy or high shots because of this. England netted its second goal at the 69th minute as per media report.

Last rites to be held in native village of Munde on Wednesday

Union minister Gopinath Munde died in a road accident and his body has now been brought to Mumbai to perform the last rites in his native village of Parali-Vaijnath in Maharashtra on Wednesday. His body was received by many senior BJP leaders and accorded a guard of honour by security forces. Munde’s body then brought to his family residence at the Purna building in Worli where his friends and relatives paid their last respect. His supporters were raising slogans of "Gopinath Munde amar rahe" as per media report. His body will then be kept at the BJP state headquarters at Nariman Point. From there it will be taken to his native place for last rituals.
