India and Vietnam will work for a prosperous Indo-Pacific region

With a view to work for an open, independent and prosperous Indo-Pacific region, India and Vietnam have signed three agreements. According to media reports, one of these is to enhance bilateral trade and economy. Currently, Vietnam is the country coordinator for India with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). However, later this year, Thailand will assume the role.

Man who allegedly ferried Gauri Lankesh's killer arrested

The Special investigating team probing the murder of journalist-activist Gauri Lankesh achieved a major breakthrough with the arrest of Naveen Kumar, who allegedly ferried the killed to the scene on his motorcycle. 38-year-old Naveen Kumar, alias Hotte Manja, is the founder of Hindu Yuva Sena. He has been remanded to eight days in SIT custody by a city sessions court.
