PV Sindhu has reached into the semi-finals of the World Badminton Championships at Nanjing, China, last night with her impeccable performance. She defeated Nozomi Okuhara of Japan in the last night match and is the sole Indian who made it to the semi-finals of this Championships. 


Second flood strikes Assam, affects 90,000 human lives

A second flood has struck Assam impacting 90,000 human lives and badly affecting 153 villages in the state. According to the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA), the lives of 10.99 lakh people have been affected since June 13. So far 41 people have lost their lives in floods and landslides in the state. 


India vs England: Test match 1, Day 3: India at 110/5, require 84 more runs to win against England

India scored 110 runs at stumps chasing the target of 194 runs and losing five wickets in their second innings on Friday. The unbeaten Captain Virat Kohli (43) and Dinesh Kartik (18) were at play and India required 84 more runs to achieve the target of 194. England bowling team led by Stuart Broad took half the wickets of the Indian team under beneficial overcast conditions. The England team demonstrated good bowling techniques in the match, sometimes making the batting challenging for the Indian batsmen.
