PV Sindhu has reached into the semi-finals of the World Badminton Championships at Nanjing, China, last night with her impeccable performance. She defeated Nozomi Okuhara of Japan in the last night match and is the sole Indian who made it to the semi-finals of this Championships.
A second flood has struck Assam impacting 90,000 human lives and badly affecting 153 villages in the state. According to the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA), the lives of 10.99 lakh people have been affected since June 13. So far 41 people have lost their lives in floods and landslides in the state.
