Veteran film actor Shashi Kapoor has died in Mumbai aged 79. MP assembly passes bill awarding death sentence to rapists of girls ages 12 and below

On Monday, the Madhya Pradesh assembly unanimously passed a bill whereby people who rape girls aged 12 and below will be hanged to death. This development followed the approval of the bill last week by the Shivraj Singh Chouhan Cabinet. The bill has been called Dand Vidhi (Madhya Pradesh Sanshodhan) Vidheyak. The bill, which needs the President's assent to become a law, will now be sent to the center.
