No south Indian city mentioned in the WHO's list of the most polluted cities

The World Health Organisation (WHO) released its list of the most polluted cities in the world on Wednesday in which no south Indian city was named. A pollution control official in Tamil Nadu stated that the efforts have been made to tackle air pollution in the state by making use of advanced gadgets in industrial premises to enable real-time monitoring. The state authorities like the municipal bodies and transport corporations have also been roped into better tackle pollution.

Severe thunderstorms across India kills 127, destroyed homes and lives

Massive thunderstorms battered many parts of the country on Wednesday night taking away 127 human lives and leaving a trail of devastation in which many houses collapsed, trees uprooted and electricity poles in disorder.

Mumbai has the "most beautiful" railway stations in India

The Railway Ministry declared Chandrapur and Ballarpur railway stations in the Chandrapur district of Maharashtra as the most beautiful railway stations in the country on Thursday. Both these stations will be awarded by the Railway Ministry.
