04 October 2018 Current Events Kulbhushan Jadhav's case to be heard in February by the International Court of Justice

Kulbhushan Jadhav, 48, a former Indian Navy Officer, was sentenced to death by a Pakistani court in April 2017 on spying charges. His case will be heard by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) from 18th February to 21st February, 2019. As per reports, Pakistan claims that Kulbhushan Jadhav is a spy who was arrested in March 2016 from Balochistan while India maintains that Jadhav was kidnapped from Iran where he had business interests.


Russian President Vladimir Putin on a two-day visit to India

Russian President Vladimir Putin will reach New Delhi in the evening today to attend the 19th India-Russia Annual Bilateral Summit. Putin will be holding delegation talks with Prime Minister Modi tomorrow in which they will discuss global issues while focusing on boosting the bilateral ties. Putin will be in India for two days. The Russian President is also expected to meet President Ram Nath Kovind at the Rashtrapati Bhawan. Several important agreements are expected to be signed after during his visit to India.
