Manu Bhaker, 16-year-old Indian athlete bagged a gold medal beating the host country’s Alejandra Zavala, a two-time World Cup Finals winner, with a 10.8 in the last shot of the 24 shot final, to come out on top with a score of 237.5. Zavala ended at 237.1 and won silver, while Celine Goberville of France won the bronze with a score of 217. India's Yashaswini Singh Deswal scored 196.1 points missed the medal and came fourth. In men's 10 meters Air-rifle event Ravi Kumar won a Bronze, which was his first World Cup medal in the ISSF World Cup in Guadalajara, Mexico.
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has finally given consent to a CBI enquiry to the alleged paper leak of Combined Graduate Level (CGL) tier 2 exam. Government has asked the students to stop the protest conducted by the candidates outside the SSC office at Lodhi Road, New Delhi since February 27. The Supreme Court has agreed to hear a plea seeking an investigation into the matter on March 12.
