As per reports, the Railway Ministry is all set to approve a 240-KM broad-gauge railway line that will connect Port Blair in the south with the largest town on the north Andaman island. This is going to be first in India which will bring the archipelago on the rail map.
The project has already been cleared by the ministry’s Planning and Finance directorates last week.
Reports also say that 50 per cent of the project’s operational cost or loss will be shared by the Andaman and Nicobar administration.
As per reports, Sasikala Natarajan is going to be Tamil Nadu's next chief minister. O Panneerselvam who was serving as the acting chief minister of the state, resigned from his position for some personal reasons.
Sasikala, who is known as Chinnamma, was always the aide and confidante of Jayalalitha, and was never given any formal role in the party.
