Weighlifter Sathish Sivalingam bring India's third gold medal

Its a big day for India as the country won its third gold medal for weighlifting. Wighlifter  Sathish Sivalingam won a gold medal in the 77 kg category. Its a third gold medal for India so far after Mirabai Chanu and Sanjita Chanu in the opening two days in the weighlifting category. After three attempts, he managed to lift a total of 144 kg in the snatch and 179 kg in the clean and jerk in second attempt. He defeated his contender, Jack Oliver of England by 5 kg and secured the CWG title he won four years back in Glasgow. 

Transfer of the judge not affect bail plea hearing of Salman Khan

On Friday night, Sessions judge Ravindra Kumar Joshi who was assigned to hear Salman Khan's bail plea application was transferred overnight to Sirohi. The hearing was scheduled for today. Now, Chandra Shekhar Sharma, District and Sessions Court will carry on with the actor's bail plea hearing. He asked for more information on the case so that he can take his decision on the application.
