07 December 2018 Current Events Polling underway in Telangana and Rajasthan

42 per cent voting was reported in Rajasthan and 48 per cent voting was reported in Telangana till 1 pm today. As per reports, the polling is peaceful and a large number of people are expected to turn up. Assembly elections are being held for 199 seats in Rajasthan and 119 seats in Telangana respectively. Total 1821 candidates are contesting for the elections. 


Maulana Asrar-ul -Haque Qasmi passes away at 76

Maulana Asrar-ul-Haque Qasmi, a noted Islamic scholar and Congress MP from Kishanganj constituency of Bihar passed away early on Friday morning. As per reports, Qasmi, 76, suffered from a heart attack. Chief Minister of Bihar - Nitish Kumar expressed grief over the demise of the veteran leader and said Qasmi played a vital role in the social sector.
