07 December 2019 Current Events Statue of Unity Exceeds Footfall at Statue of Liberty

In just a year, State of Unity caps the footfall at the 133 year old Statue of Liberty in the United States (US), as per the data, over 15,000 tourists visits the monument daily in Gujarat. The height of the statue is 182 metres and has entered the list of world's tallest statues and is located near the Sardar Sarovar Dam on the river Narmada in Kevadiya colony in Gujarat. For the rise of footfall, Sardar Sarovar Narmada Nigam Ltd said in a statement that the additional tourist attractions such as cactus garden, butterfly garden, river rafting etc helped in the rise.
