As per reports, Manohar Parrikar had addressed a gathering in north Goa on 29 January and tried to bribe them to get votes for Bharatiya Janata Party. On the basis of this, Election Commission has issued a notice against the Defence Minister on Tuesday. The election body has sought its final reply from Parrikar by 9 February.
Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray announced on Tuesday that Hardik Patel, the Patidar quota stir leader, is going to be the face during the party's Assembly polls in Gujarat. The state will be witnessing polls in its 182 constituencies later this year and the Bharatiya Janata Party will fight anti-incumbency.
However, Shiv Sena is still an alliance partner in Gujarat and at the Centre.
