Sania Mirza Wins Brisbane Doubles Title

As per reports, Sania Mirza made it at Brisbane Doubles by winning the first title of the season, which she combined with American Bethanie Mattek-Sands. However, she could not get the World No.1 rank. The position was taken by Bethanie.

Pakistan Releases Indian Fishermen as Goodwill Gesture

As per reports, 218 Indian fishermen have been released by the Pakistani government on Saturday at Wagah border as a goodwill gesture. A six-member team of Gujarat Fisheries department, headed by K R Patni, took custody of these fishermen.

Reportedly, the first batch of fishermen is going to leave for Vadodara this evening. The Railway department has been requested by the team to make necessary arrangements to take the fishermen to Vadodara from Amritsar.

BJP National Executive Meet: Transparency in Political Funding, says MP Modi

As per reports, at a BJP national executive meet in Delhi on Saturday, prime minister Modi said that BJP firmly supports transparency in political funding. He also said that the party is not only into winning polls but also intends to serve the poor.

Party president Amit Shah praised the prime minister for the country's role in Uri attack and also spoke about how demonetisation would help removing corruption from the country.
