07 March 2019 Current Events 514 passengers stranded in Jammu and Kashmir airlifted by IAF

More than 514 passengers who have been stranded in Jammu and Kashmir were airlifted by the Indian Air Force (IAF). Nearly 105 passengers were airlifted in two trips from Srinagar, 300 from Udhampur to Leh, 41 passengers from Kargil to Srinagar, 8 from Kargil to Jammu, and 62 passengers from Jammu to Kargil were airlifted. Many aircraft including AN-32 are available for airlifting the people who had been stranded at places because of the bad weather.
