Fire erupts at Mahul's Bharat Petroleum plant in Mumbai, no casualties reported

A big fire occurred at the Bharat Petroleum plant in the Mahul area near Chembur in Mumbai today afternoon. The fire led to the explosions in the petroleum plant and the fire brigade has reached the spot to extinguish the fire. No casualties have been reported so far.

India to witness partial solar eclipse on August 11

India is again going to witness its third eclipse of this year. A partial solar eclipse will be witnessed on August 11 during the early morning hours in India. This eclipse is coming exactly after 15 days of the last eclipse in the country.

M Karunanidhi passes away at 94, Indians pay homage to the deceased leader

The Chief Minister and DMK President M Karunanidhi passed away at the age of 94 yesterday evening. He was admitted to the Kauvery Hospital after his health conditions became critical. His mortal remains have been kept at the Chennai's Rajaji Hall for the people to pay their respect. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also be paying his homage to the deceased leader. A state funeral has been declared by the Central government in respect of his departed soul.
