India at 130 in Maternal Mortality Ratio

India noticed a significant decline in the maternal mortality ratio of the country as per the new data released by the registrar general of India. The Maternal Mortality Ratio (MMR) during 2014-16 stands at 130 in the newly-released data. The three best states in terms of MMR are Kerala (46), Maharashtra (61), and Tamil Nadu (66). The worst performing states are Assam (237), UP/Uttarakhand (201), and Rajasthan (199). 

PM Modi on a 2-day visit to China for SCO Summit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be leaving for China tomorrow for a two-day visit to attend Shanghai Cooperation Organisation- SCO Summit. He will hold bilateral talks with the Chinese President Xi Jinping and also focus on strengthening the existing relationship between the member countries during his visit.
