PM Modi did not mention Nehru even once – Congress leader Jairam Ramesh

Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is completely ignoring Jawaharlal Nehru. He urged all the political parties to join hand at a platform 'to rediscover' Nehru. He added that thoughts and ideas of Nehru are still important. It will be similar to destroying the idea of India if someone tries to destroy the Nehruvian legacy. He also added that other BJP leaders like Vajpayee and Advani are not like PM Modi.

Hindalco, Jindal Power and Indrajit Power win coal block auction

On the third day of second tranche of coal mining auction Hindalco Industries, Jindal Power and Indrajit Power won Dumri, Tara and Nerad Malegaon coal blocks respectively. Indrajit Power bids for Rs 660 (a tonne) the highest for Nerad Malegoan, Hindalco was the highest bidder for Dumri and bids Rs 2,127 (a tonne) and Jindal Power bids Rs 126 (a tonne) for Tara coal block. Three more blocks will be auctioned on Sunday. Under 'ready-for-production' category government has put 15 blocks for sale.

Saina Nehwal enters into All England final

The World No. 3 and Indian ace shuttler Saina Nehwal reaches All England final and just a win away from winning this prestigious title. In case she wins, the 24-year-old shuttler will the become the first Indian woman to win this title. Among men, Prakash Padukone and her former coach Pullela Gopichand are the only Indians who tasted this win in 1980 and 2001 respectively. Saina will play against sixth seed and current world champion Carolina Marin of Spain. Saina has won all the 3 past matches against Carolina.

Motorola Moto E 2nd gen to be released on 10th March

The second generation Moto E priced at Rs 6,999 will be released on March 10 in India. With few new features, its touch screen has the same resolution of 960x540p but it has been increased to 4.5 inches from 4.3 inches. It will have two front-facing speakers and a VGA camera. The rear cover is non-removable and battery has been improved from 1980mAh to 2390mAh.Motorola Moto E 2nd gen also has 32GB microSD card support, weighs 145 grams, VGA front-facing lens and Android Lollipop OS.

Hurriyat leader Masarat Alam released without BJP consent

The BJP in reaction to the release of Hurriyat leader Masarat Alam by the PDP government in Jammu and Kashmir said that the party has not given its consent for the same. Jugal Kishore, BJP state president stated that party is not happy and was unaware of this decision. Congress party asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi a clean stand on this.

Satyam Computer accounting scam verdict likely on Monday

The multi-crore accounting fraud in Satyam Computer Services Limited (SCSL) probed by the CBI is likely to have judgement on Monday. Special Judge BVLN Chakravarthi in the last hearing on 23rd Dec 2014 said that he will pronounce the verdict on March 9. Trial of the case began six years back in which 226 witnesses were examined and 3,000 documents were produced.
