PM Modi to inaugurate 650 India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) branches on August 21

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to inaugurate 650 branches of the India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) on August 21. This move of the government is aimed at amplifying the ability and impact of the banking sector all over India. 

IKEA opens its first Indian store in Hyderabad today

IKEA has entered the Indian market with the opening of its first store in Hyderabad. The store will offer Nordic-inspired furnishings and food at a much cheaper price to the Indians. The store has a good collection of nearly 7,500 products. It has about 1,000 products with price as low as Rs. 200 a piece. The brand is planning to open about 25 stores across India by 2025.

India celebrates Quit India movement's 76th anniversary today

India is going to celebrate the 76th anniversary of the Quit India Movement today. This day is also called the August Kranti Day. President Ram Nath Kovind paid homage to the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives in this movement. An event is being organized at the Rashtrapati Bhawan to observe this day.
