09 July 2020 Current Events India Records 7.42 Lakh Coronavirus Cases on Wednesday

As per Wednesday's reports by the Union Health Ministry, India's Coronavirus cases increased to 7,42,417. Though the recovery rate further improved to over 61.5 percent. The fatalities climbed to 20,642 with 482 new counts as per government data. Recoveries, on the other hand, stand at 4,56,830, while the active cases stand at 2,64,944. With the current number, India now trails behind only the United States and Brazil in the number of Covid-19 cases. On the same day, Mumbai's Covid-19 cases crossed the mark of 5,000 with 62 new fatalities, as confirmed by Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
