What Happened on 10 April 2018
On Tuesday morning, a truck overturned killing 18 labourers in the Satara district of Maharashtra along the Pune-Bengaluru Highway. The driver had lost his control over the truck due to which the accident happened.There are other labourers in the truck who got injured and taken to the hospital for medical assistance.The workers were coming to Pune from Vijayapura, Karnataka for industrial work when the mishap happened.
On Monday, in Nurpur area of Kangra district in Himachal Pradesh, a private bus, carrying more than 30 people, including kids, slipped and rolled down into a 200ft gorge. The accident killed 27 kids, two teachers and the driver. Twelve passengers have been rescued and were taken to the hospital in critical condition.The bus had the staff and students of Wazir Ram Singh Pathania Memorial Public School, who were returning home when the accident happened. The local villagers began with rescueoperation much before the arrival of the authorities.
