10 January 2018 Current Events Bhima Koregaon Caste Violence: 16 arrested juveniles released on bail

16 juveniles were arrested in the Bhima Koregaon Caste Violence by Govandi police during the Maharashtra Bandh protests on Wednesday. As per the reports, all of them have been released on bail. The boys are aged between 14 and 17. Pune police arrested 12 more people on Monday. No arrests have been reported in the case of Rahul Phatangale who died due to the head injuries.



Air hostess of Jet Airways arrested, questions raised on airport's security


An air hostess of Jet Airways was smuggling US currency worth Rs 3.24 crores and was arrested by the police. As per the reports, there is an international racket involved in the smuggling of international currency. A senior official of Directorate of Revenue said that the arrest of Air hostess Devashi Kulshreshta is just a small cog in the wheel.


International Skiing event: India wins its first International Medal in Skiing

Aanchal Thakur, a girl from Manali, has created history by winning a bronze medal in International Skiing event, which was held in Turkey. The event was organized by the International Ski Federation (FSI). The player shared her joy on a social media platform. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Sports Minister Rajyavardhan Rathore also congratulated Thakur on her success.
