10 June 2020 Current Events Parents Appeal to SC Against CBSE's Decision to Hold Remaining Exams of Class XII

On Tuesday, a group of four parents moved to Supreme Court against CBSE's decision to hold remaining exams of class XII from July 1 onwards. The parents appealed the court to direct that students be given marks on the basis of internal assessment in view of Coronavirus pandemic. The parents put forward that students would be exposed to the pandemic if they come out of their houses. Hence the parents intervened in the matter. The petition was filed by Rishi Malhotra contended that many institutions including Delhi University decided not to conduct examinations for the same reason.
