10 May 2016 Current Events BCCI President Shashank Manohar resigns

Shashank Manohar, the president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has resigned from his post with immediate effect. There’s a huge buzz that the reason behind this step is Mr. Manohar’s belief regarding the non-implementation of the RM Lodha panel recommendations. He has also quit as the chairman of the International Cricket Council. 


AAP to visit DU today for inspecting Modi's records

Within a few moments after BJP president Amit Shah made public the copies of PM Narendra Modi’s BA and MA degree, AAP members claimed the same to be forged. AAP spokesperson Ashutosh pointed out the change in PM Modi’s name from ‘Narendra Jumar Damodar Das Modi’ in the BA degree to ‘Narendra Damoderdas Modi’ in the MA degree certificate.


West Bengal Class 10 results to be declared today

The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) will be announcing the results of Class 10 or Madhyamik examination today. Different websites could be accessed for viewing the results from 10:00 a.m. Students would be able to collect their mark sheets and certifications from the camp offices from 10:05 a.m. onwards. The exam was taken by a record 11,53,432 students amid West Bengal Assembly Elections.


Lenovo Z1 to hit Indian stores today

Today, Lenovo India would be unveiling its Z1 smartphone, under the online sub-brand Zuk. After confirming the India launch last week, the Chinese smartphone manufacturing company will be live streaming the launch programme on YouTube and Zuk official website from 12:00 p.m. IST. Lenovo ZA runs Cyanogen OS 12.1 based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and will be available at a price of approx. Rs. 18,250.
