Service Trial of Kochi Metro Starts Today

As per reports, Kochi Metro’s final service trial run started on Wednesday. The trial started after Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL) received clearance certificate from Commissioner for Metro Rail Safety.

As mentioned by one of the KMRL officials, the inauguration of the metro has not been announced keeping Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dates in mind.

Goa CM Manohar Parrikar will Contest By-election from Panaji

As per reports, Goa BJP on Wednesday confirmed that Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar is going to contest the by-election from Panaji. Goa BJP president Vinay Tendulkar made the announcement.

Parrikar’s close aide Siddharth Kuncalienkar is currently representing Panaji. Kuncalienkar had contested the by-election in 2014 after Parrikar resigned to join the Union cabinet.

The Aam Aadmi Party also confirmed that a candidate will be fielded against Parrikar and the name will be announced very soon.
