10 September 2018 Current Events Bharat Bandh headed by Rahul Gandhi

“Bharat Bandh” called by 21 parties today led by Congress has stalled activities at several parts of the country like Karnataka, Maharshtra, Kerala and Bihar. The bandh is called to protest the enormous price hike of fuels and the depreciation of rupee. Only TMC hasn’t taken part in the bandh. The bandh is led by Congress President Rahul Gandhi. There are incidents of violence as well in some parts of the country like Patna and Mumbai.

 


Rupee falls to the lowest in history

The Indian Rupee again hit an all-time low of 72.48 against the American Dollar. The fall is due to the major demand of importers of US Currency.

 


A Honda Civic car mauls 2 on a footpath in Delhi

 A 25-year-old drunk man at Rajouri Garden, Delhi, rammed his Honda Civic car into four people, killing two of them. He was thrashed by locals and further booked for culpable homicide (304 IPC).
