BHIM App: Registration Crosses 140 Lakh

Reports say that more than 140 lakh registration have been done for the recently launched Bharat Interface for Money (BHIM) app. According to IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, two new schemes -Referral Bonus Scheme for individuals and a Cashback Scheme for merchants, will be launched. These will help in promoting the usage of this app.

Aadhaar Enabled Payment System's merchant version, Aadhaar Pay is also going to be launched, which will be helpful for those without debit cards, mobile wallets and mobile phones.

UP Polls 2017: BJP Leader's Brother Detained for Carrying Pistol near Polling Booth

As per reports, a pistol was recovered from senior BJP leader and Sardhana legislator Sangeet Som's brother Gagan Som near a polling booth in UP. After being spotted with the pistol, he was detained by the police as the act was violating election rules.

Odisha Coast: Interceptor Missile Successfully Test-fired

As per reports, an interceptor missile has successfully been test-fired off the Odisha coast on Saturday. It has achieved an important milestone in order to develop a two-layered Ballistic Missile Defence system. At about 7.45 am the interceptor was launched from Abdul Kalam Island of ITR.
